Chairwoman’s Message
November 7
By Mary Burkett, DRF Chairwoman
What will we say to our grandchildren on November 7?
On that day, we will know who will be President of the United States for the next four years. I suspect our members want Mitt Romney as president. However, gone are the days when We the People can just sit back and watch the election. We must become involved.
What will we say on November 7? Will we say that we were part of the victory, that because of our efforts, our country will be moving on a better track, that our efforts meant something for the future of our children and grandchildren?
If so, we must act now: Get out of your chair–Go to the Romney call center and spend an hour, once a week, making brief calls to undecideds in battleground states. Go to the county party headquarters and make get-out-the-vote calls to people here in Washington County. One hour once a week. It’s simple.
Join other volunteers on Saturday, October 27, at the Romney headquarters to go to Vegas and help reach out to voters there. All expenses paid.
Both headquarters are located at 134 North 200 East in St. George.
